What is the Woodchester Club?
Woodchester developers, locally based Newlands Group is a family owned company from Toowoomba. Newlands has an excellent track record with all of their property development projects. They also played an important role in providing rapid assistance to Lockyer Valley residents after the devastating 2011 floods.
Newlands are committed to ensuring not only the residents but the broader community benefit from the construction of the estate. All buyers in the estate receive a $3,000 spending card to assist them with their new purchase. The card can be used at any of the partners of the Woodchester Club on anything from landscaping, home furnishings to a haircut. Through this initiative the sale of the lots in the estate will contribute in excess of $1,000,000 to local businesses helping ensure their ongoing prosperity and underpinning future employment in the region.
Criteria
To ensure the benefit from the spending card remains in the local community the Woodchester Club has certain membership criteria. All participating businesses have to meet the following criteria:
* Locally owned & Locally managed
* Locally situated in the Gatton geographic area
* Exclusions other than above, certain business types that do not fit with the above Objective, for example Liquor Stores, Pokies
Expectations
For the Woodchester Club to work effectively there would be certain expectations from the businesses participating:
* $100 one off joining fee
* All of the joining fee money will be given to a local charity nominated by the members of the Woodchester Club
* Full enthusiastic participation in our Woodchester Estate marketing campaign This would include allowing Woodchester Club logo’s and Woodchester Estate sales brochures to be displayed in their stores
Benefits
Participation in the Woodchester Club will have many benefits, these would include:
* Opportunity to have some of the $3,000 spend card transacted at your store
* Advertising and exposure through Newlands assisted marketing campaigns, including Woodchester Club webpage listing, in-store merchandising, radio and print media advertising, editorials etc
* Participation in Woodchester Club, Newlands sponsored Golf Day. Which will include a number of invited guests
* Inclusion, where relevant, to quote on any of Newlands Development inputs to the actual property development. e.g. quoting on curtains or carpets for the show home
* How the Reward Card system work
A service provider called Concept Gift Cards has been engaged to produce the cards and they have a system that works with EFTPOS to seamlessly and invisibly manage the gift cards.
How it will work is as follows
1) A business completes an application form
2) Criteria checked and the application is accepted by Newlands
3) A special Gift Card is used to register that business into the system, the Woodchester Club. A 10 cent transaction is processed on the approved businesses EFTPOS machine, this transaction notifies the system of the all the details required
4) Gift Cards are given to Woodchester Estate buyers when they sign a purchase contract, the card only has a maximum of $1,000 value per upload. This in some way controls the amount of spend possible in one single transaction and hopefully encourages the $3,000 to be spent across a number of outlets
5) The system notifies Newlands when a minimum balance is reached and the card is reloaded until the total $3,000 amount is used
